Every year, we split the work of making a game between four major departments: Art, Programming, Marketing, and Sound. This year, we have two new, smaller departments: "Level Design" and "UI Design".
is responsible for all the graphics that go into our games. Most of the art we do ends up digital, but traditional art could be used if we can scan and photo edit it. Anything from characters to backgrounds, designs to animations-Art Department is responsible for them all! We use many programs like Photoshop, Paint Tool SAI, MangaStudio (Clip Studio Paint), Harmony, and others.
is responsible for the background story of characters, items, or places in our projects. The team is also used to script promotional videos.
plays a big role in the making of games, but most importantly, it makes a game possible! We use anything from Tyranobuilder, Unity to building it from scratch using OpenGL with LWJGL to code our games. More experienced individuals will show the ropes to those less experienced, so there is no need to worry if you've never touched code before!
is tasked with designing the user interface for our projects. Members of this team should think intuitively and logically.
is tasked with designing levels for the players to complete. Pretty self explanatory.
promotes M-GAP and our games! This involves managing social media accounts and regularly posting updates of our progress, starting fundraising campaigns, and projecting goals and proposing plans based on the situation. This department is particularly useful to those interested in going into business in the future!
is tasked with the making, recording, and production of sound effects and soundtrack. We try our best to use handmade sounds and music to avoid the hassle of copyright issues. Besides, personally produced works can be used however you wish, even commercially! If you have a talent in playing instruments, you can most certainly apply to this department as well!
